Eye Surgery - Blepharoplasty

To correct the appearance of the eyelids, blepharoplasty gives the patient a young and relaxed look.

It is necessary to distinguish between an upper blepharoplasty operated when it is excess skin at the level of the upper eyelid, or lower when it comes to bags or excess skin under the eye.

Most of the time, the patients choose this intervention to remedy the aging, the pockets and dark circles coming to settle at the level of the lower eyelid or against the fall of the eyelids which comes to disturb the visual axis.

It is an intervention that requires only an ophthalmological examination in addition to a consultation with the anesthetist, and lasts a maximum of one hour and a half and half a day of hospitalization.

There are two methods for removing excess fat, namely lifting or laser.

Blepharoplasty usually does not produce any pain, except for some minor discomfort and visual disturbances that disappear within half an hour.

The small advice that any surgeon gives to his patient is to apply ice cubes to the eyes during the first week to avoid any swelling.

3 to 6 months are necessary to visualize a visible and definitive result.
