Rhinoplasty

The shape of the nose alone can either refine or harden the features of the face, whether to correct a defect, or simply to embellish the shape of the nose, rhinoplasty is part of the most popular aesthetic operations in Turkey.

Aiming to give harmony to all the features of the face, rhinoplasty is not intended to form a perfect nose, but rather a less defective nose that will perfectly match the rest of the face without giving the impression a redone nose.

There are two techniques that can be performed for rhinoplasty, and this depends on the mastery of each surgeon.

We distinguish the technique of closed rhinoplasty whose incisions are made inside the nasal cavity, and which is especially adapted to the nose presenting less deformations, it allows a faster recovery, less pronounced edema and no scar outside.

On the other hand, in both techniques, the bones of the nose, the cartilage and the vegetations are remodeled.

Rhinoplasty has become much more comfortable thanks to the silicone pads, which prevent patients from having pain when taken off.

For patients who have already had a rhinoplasty and are still not satisfied, they will be able to use revision rhinoplasty.

The revision rhinoplasty is divided in two, there are minor revisions made 6 to 12 months after the first operation, and major revisions made 12 to 24 months after.

For revision rhinoplasty, the process during and after the operation is more difficult for both the patient and the surgeon.

There would be a need for a cartilage graft, from the nose, if not from the ear, and if neither one is available, a graft of odds would be needed.

Recovery is similar to primary rhinoplasty, except that it will take longer to reduce edema and soften the nose.
